Job Description Current hiring for an Assistant Plant Controller at our Cincinnati facility. Mauser Packaging Solutions is a global leader in solutions and services across the packaging lifecycle, providing packaging worldwide to companies in industries from food, personal care, paints and chemicals. In this role, you are responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, month-end close activities, internal and external reporting, and annual audits. You will contribute as well to the timely and accurate issuance of financial statements and provision of meaningful analysis of variance on business performance. Engaging regularly with internal as well as external partners. This position will have one direct report. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, A/R, A/P, and fixed assets Assist the Controller in managing the monthly accounting close process including journal entry review, account reconciliations and variance analysis to deliver complete, accurate and timely financial reporting Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of efficiency and customer service while maintaining appropriate internal controls and compliance with GAAP Assist Controller with preparation of Monthly Plant Financial Outlook, Quarterly forecasts and Annual Budget Assist Controller with providing business partnering support to Plant Leadership (Cost reduction opportunity identification and monitoring and Benchmark/trend reporting) Provide supporting documentation for company audit Provide accounting support for corporate and operations functions Ad hoc reports, analysis and reporting Drive process improvement and efficiency in all accounting and close functions including ERP enhancements Job Requirements Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA is a plus 7-10 years experience in progressively responsible accounting roles with manufacturing experience a plus Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Technical Accounting knowledge/proficiency:
solid understanding of GAAP Experienced in implementing/maintaining internal controls Experienced with top-tier ERP systems (SAP Preferred) Self-starter who will challenge the status quo Excellent Excel skills
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
AccountingEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
